A crew of friends and I ventured over to the west side of the Cascade Mountains last weekend for whitewater paddling and car camping. Car camping sure is luxurious!
We boated on the Mackenzie River on Saturday afternoon - Paradise to Ollalie Campground. Sunday we met more boaters for a trip down the North Santiam's Bruno Mountain Run. Both runs were a blast. The west side rivers this time of year are so breathtaking. We had three boats on the water Saturday and six on Sunday. Here are a few photographs from the trip.
