Mountain Lion Story of Bird Language
Brian is a friend of mine from the Wilderness Awareness School. At the school there is an ancient awareness practice taught that focuses on allowing the birds to lead one to clues of what is going on in the forest. This practice teaches a lot about oneself (patience, focus, hearing, problem solving, listening, awareness etc.) and the natural areas in which one lives. This is a skill I have grown in a little, but it can be incredibly hard (for me) in the world we live in to take time to sit and listen.
Brian was the most diehard practitioner of this skill out of our class of 30+ students. His patient daily practice of sitting in the woods provided him with the treat of a lifetime. Who needs the National Geographic Channel?
