Off to the Canyons of the Colorado
The temperature reads -6 degrees in the Grand Canyon at the moment. I guess it is time for another adventure. Tomorrow I am off to the Colorado River for a 27 - day float trip. 13 friends, 4 rafts, canoes, kayaks, instruments, fires each night, side hikes, and big whitewater.... I will post photos and perhaps a few writings upon return....
After the Canyon trip I will be joining the Wilderness Awareness School for a couple of weeks in California. Then back to Oregon for a spring in the snowy central cascades.
Looks like a nice mix of cold, dry, canyon, rain forest, snow, juniper, sagebrush, river currents, redwoods, cacti, starry nights, fog, and even perhaps a taste of the Peaceful Ocean as the season pushes towards spring wildflowers.
